Welcome to Pecking Order—the card game where strategy meets squawk! Inspired by the real-life hierarchy of chickens, this fast, funny, and family-friendly game challenges players to rise through the ranks using memory, logic, and a little luck. ABOUT THE CREATOR
Hi, I’m Katya—mom, game designer, and backyard chicken wrangler. Pecking Order started in our kitchen, born from our love of clever games, big laughs, and a feisty flock. It’s made for families, teachers, and anyone who enjoys quirky, strategic fun.
I
grew up in Eastern Europe and moved to the United States about 10 years ago to start a new chapter. Back in my home country, I had a successful career as a banker specializing in trade finance, and today I work in banking consulting. Even though my professional life has been all about numbers and strategies, I’ve always believed there’s more to life than work.
As a parent, I know how easy it is to get caught up in the busyness and forget how important it is to slow down and really connect with our kids. That’s why I decided to create something different—a game designed to bring families together around the table. And the best part? It’s simple enough that kids can also play it on their own when you need a moment to yourself (or to wrangle the real-life chickens).
Right now, Pecking Order is my only product, but I have more ideas in the works (and as any parent or entrepreneur knows, everything always takes more time than we expect!).
